Reiki | Energy Healing
"Reiki is love, love is wholeness, wholeness is balance, balance is well-being, well-being is freedom from disease.’’

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work based on the concept of universal life force energy. This gentle practice supports deep relaxation and a sense of balance in the body, mind, and emotions.
There is no excessive physical manipulation or force involved. The practitioner acts as a channel through which the energy flows to where it is most needed. Clients may experience a variety of sensations, such as warmth, tingling, deep relaxation, or emotional release — everyone experiences Reiki in their own unique way.
If the session takes place in person, the practitioner places her hands on or just above specific areas of the client’s body.
Sessions can take place either in person or remotely — as the experience of energy work is not limited by physical distance. Many clients and practitioners describe remote sessions as equally effective.
During the session, both practitioner and client may receive insights that can support personal reflection and awareness.

How can Reiki support you?
Reiki does not replace conventional medicine, but it can beautifully complement it. It may support you in areas such as:
- chronic stress, tension, insomnia
- low mood, burnout, anxiety
- emotional challenges, trauma, inner imbalance
- weakened immune system
- recovery after illness or surgery
- physical or psychosomatic pain
- healing processes (e.g., after fractures – once properly aligned and stabilized)
- before or after surgical procedures

What does a session look like?
A Reiki session usually lasts between 50 and 90 minutes. It takes place in a calm environment, fully clothed, either lying on a massage table or seated comfortably. It may accompanied by relaxing music. There’s nothing special you need to do — just be present, breathe, and receive.
For distance sessions, we may connect via video, phone or simply agree on a dedicated time during which the energy will be transmitted energetically.
Afterward, it’s recommended to allow time for rest, hydration, and integration.
It is recommended to avoid alcohol, smoking and recreationad drugs min. 12 h before the session and 24 h after the session, as well as reduce caffeine intake before the session and preferably avoid it until the next day after the session.
You are warmly invited into this gentle, quiet space — where your body, mind and soul can rest, release what does not serve them anymore, and remember what it’s like to truly feel good and connected to oneself.
Contraindications and Cautions:
Reiki is generally gentle and safe for most people. However, in some cases it’s adviced to consult with a proper medical professional first:
- fresh bone fractures — Reiki may support healing, but the bone must first be properly set and stabilized
- acute medical conditions (e.g. high fever, severe pain of unknown origin, acute infections)
- severe mental illness — Reiki may be used as support alongside psychiatric care
- open wounds, inflamed skin, fresh scars — in such cases, we avoid direct contact with the affected area
